Q: Is Polite Piggy’s open for before care during inclement weather?
A: No we are not. We are sensitive to the needs of families however, we must give the time needed for the building engineers to prepare the building and grounds for school’s opening.
Q: How do I return summer camp forms?
A: Summer camp forms can be hand delivered to Maury Elementary or Tyler Elementary after 4 pm daily once registration begins.
Forms can also be mailed to PO Box 31215, WDC 2003o.
Q: How much does before school programming cost?
A: The standard rate is $8 per day (please click fees-before and after care-and sliding scale if needed)
Q: How much does after school programming cost?
A: The standard rate is $20 per day (please click fees-before and after care-and sliding scale if needed)
Q: What time does before school programming begin?
A: Tyler Elementary begins at 7:00 am
A: Maury Elementary begins at 7:15 am
Q: What time does after school programming end?
A: 6:00 pm all schools
Q: Does my child need to be potty trained to participate in before school programming or after school programming?
A: No, especially in summer. We work diligently with families to reinforce bathroom use. Together, we will make a plan. We ask families to communicate with us in advance if a child is not potty trained.
Q: Should I pack a snack for my child, or is snack provided?
A: Snack is always provided. The only meal sent by families is lunch daily during camp days.
Q: Do you offer a sibling discount?
A: Yes, we provide a 25% sibling discount
Q: Is before care programming or after care programming available on a drop in basis?
A: Yes, space permitting. Families seeking drop in days must register during the registration window with all other families. Once spaces are filled, drop ins can not be added.
Q: Is before care programming or after care programming available on a part-time basis?
A: Yes, we cater to the needs of your family.
Q: Are the kids separated by age/grade during before and after care programming?
A: In beforecare, children are broken into groups (Preschool-K & Grades 1 and up). In aftercare, each group is separated by age except for our “Big Kids” grades 3-5.
Q: Does Polite Piggy’s offer camp on school holidays?
A: We are closed on all federal holidays and Emancipation Day. We also close at 3 pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Q: Does Polite Piggy’s offer aftercare programming on half days?
A: Yes, we are open from 12:15 pm to 6:00 pm
